Now that you mention it, I think that “two ways and I both travel by, and that has made all the difference to me" is a more accurate reading of Frost's poem than the one most people give. In that poem, Frost mentions more than once that the paths are basically the same - it's only at the end that he decides he took the one "less traveled." There is an element of Frost wanting it both ways, too.
